The City of Puyallup started as an agricultural community in the last half of the 19th century. The Indian name Puyallup translates into “generous people” and that name as served the area well through many years of development as Puyallup has transformed into a vibrant, hospitable and desirable location.
Puyallup is also nationally known for their amazing spring daffodils and annual daffodil parade. Communities surrounding the City of Puyallup include Summit, Fredrickson, Graham, Midland, Crystal Ridge, Gem Heights, the Puyallup Valley and the South Hill of Puyallup.
The small town atmosphere still prevails while these communities enjoy easy access to the I-5 interstate that connects Tacoma to Seattle and Washington to Oregon. An abundance of lakes, rivers and breathtaking views provide recreation and amenities to this area of unique communities.
