South Sound Communities
The City of Federal Way is centrally located among the South Sound Communities. Located 30 minutes south of Seattle and 20 minutes north of Tacoma just off I-5 Federal Way it serves as a hub to many towns and cities in South King County and North Pierce County.
Federal Way is the 9th largest city in Washington with 90000 residents. It features many lakes, parks and an abundant coast line with Puget Sound views in every price range. It is bordered on the north by the salt water communities of Redondo and Des Moines and to the west by Brown’s Pt and NE Tacoma. Further south you will find the small towns of Edgewood and Milton and to the southwest the 6th largest city in Washington, Tacoma.
The city is well versed in the arts and is in the process of building a new 20 Million dollar Performing Arts Center. It is also enjoys of the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center, the home of the 1990 Seattle Good Will Games and the site of many Olympia trials and international competitions.
